To the end of the year 36 players started on our "Grinch Battle" Tournament.
We had good luck with the weather. The snow chaos of the previous days was over and so participants from Switzerland could also arrive save.
The tournament was managed by the tournament software by Marco Wopkes. In this system, two players play on one device. It's "only" for the win, the accumulated points have no influence on the outcome. Each round will be drawn, while the software calculates the pairings so that any possible mating game is repeated and every player plays at different pinball machines. The four best players compete in the finals against each other.
The final of the four players from the preliminary round was played at Freddy: a Nightmare on Elm Street. During the final match one flipper failed. Unfortunately the game had to be repeated.
Jörg Schwegmann won ahead of Rudi Mathes, Robert von Keller and Klaus Erhard the final match.
